Fantasy rules
The main player rules for taking part in your club's fantasy cricket competition.
Points Structure
Batting
Bowling
Fielding
Fantasy points are calculated from scorecards synced from Play Cricket on a regular basis.
If an official scorecard is corrected later, updates to historic matches from previous gameweeks will not be reapplied to completed gameweeks.
General
Each registered user can have one fantasy team in each league they join, so you can take part in multiple leagues but only manage a single team per league.
Managers can join a league at any point during the season, but teams only start scoring from the next eligible gameweek after they are created. Points are not backdated.
Each fantasy league is made up of the real teams selected by the admin, so only scorecards involving those teams count towards that league's scoring.
League settings such as squad size, budget, transfer rules, captain multipliers, and optional chips are controlled by the admin and shown in the app.
Transfers and Captain Changes
Transfers and captain changes can be made before the next gameweek, with changes applying when the new gameweek starts.
The standard gameweek switch-over is 12:30pm on Saturday. That is the key transfer deadline for the next round.
During the transition window around the switch-over, the game may briefly be updating scores and rolling teams forward.
Before the season begins, transfers are free and unlimited so managers can finalise their squads.
Once the season is underway, leagues typically allow free transfers each gameweek, with unused free transfers rolling over up to the league limit. Extra transfers may still be made, but they will cost points based on that league's settings.
If you transfer out your captain, you should select a new captain before the next gameweek starts.
Some leagues may allow chips such as Triple Captain or Wildcard. If enabled, those can only be used in line with the rules configured for that league.
Team Selection
Your league admin chooses the squad format. Supported formats are 5 players (£40m), 6 players (£45m), or 11 players (£80m). The format for your league is shown in the league rules panel.
Players and prices are set by the league admin from the teams included in that competition.
In the 5 and 6 player formats: exactly 1 keeper, 1–2 batters, 1–2 bowlers, and 1–2 all-rounders.
In the 11 player format: 1–2 keepers, 2–5 batters, 2–5 bowlers, and 1–4 all-rounders.
Each team must nominate a captain. Captains score double points by default, unless a league-specific setting or chip applies.
Conduct and Disputes
Team names should be suitable for a club environment and must not contain abusive, offensive, or misleading content.
If there is any dispute about league interpretation, player eligibility, scoring corrections, or admin settings, the club admin's decision is final.
